Uplevel Security, acquired by McAfee in 2019, provided cybersecurity teams with a data-driven approach to incident response and threat analysis. 

Lead Product Designer

We built an analytics and triage platform that applied graph theory to an organization’s security data. Tying together historical incident data, current threat intelligence, and incoming alerts, Uplevel created a dynamic security graph that enabled real-time alert correlation. Users could more easily uncover hidden relationships in their data and identify malicious activity that may have been overlooked.

As the sole designer for 3 years and produced user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity mockups as the product evolved. I worked directly with the engineering team to define the design system and iterate quickly on features as we got more feedback from customers. I also participated on customer calls in order to learn more about how users wanted to use the product. We transformed the original v1 product into a v2 release and eventually moved towards a graph-focused platform.
