Drone Racing League

Created to accompany the Drone Racing League’s World Championship event at Chase Field, the mobile app engaged over 4000 attendees in a live interactive game. Users competed to guess the winning pilots per round of the race.

Client: Superbright, DRL

UX Lead

The app experience was designed around the timing of an event. Before and after an event, users could learn about the pilots and view DRL race content. During an event, users would be submitting their guesses for the winning pilots and getting race results back immediately. I designed the onboarding flow and app navigation to enable users to easily switch between the base content and active gameplay.

I also iterated on the play sequence to ensure that users understood the race structure, could make pilot choices, show support during live heats, and view results.
